About Us

Guiding the progress of energy efficiency in Nova Scotia

We transform the way people use energy. Together, we help people achieve their energy goals, save money, conserve resources, improve wellbeing, and combat climate change.

Our role is to inform and motivate Nova Scotians to use less energy, use it smarter, and enjoy the good things efficiency brings. Investing in energy efficiency comes with many benefits—lower heating bills, more comfortable spaces, new jobs in your community, and a smaller overall carbon footprint.

While the world of energy efficiency is always changing and moving forward, the key characteristics of how EfficiencyOne operates stay the same:

  • We are an independent, not-for-profit organization providing accountable, transparent services
  • We have clear performance targets
  • We are subject to regular, independent performance audits
  • We are backed by secure funding
  • We have the flexibility to evolve our mandate and scope of activities over time, in response to our changing environment
