2020 - 2022 Electricity Efficiency Plan

Electricity efficiency activities in Nova Scotia are subject to Utility and Review Board (UARB) approval.

Recently, we filed a proposed plan to deliver electricity savings in 2020, 2021 and 2022 with the UARB. Our plan outlines how we will help Nova Scotians use less energy, save money, and reduce harmful emissions that impact climate change.

The energy savings in our proposed plan represent 1.3% of annual electricity generation, at a total 3-year investment of $129.1 million. The investment will generate over $600 million in savings for Nova Scotians.

2020 - 2022 Efficiency Plan Highlights

Year Investment Savings for Nova Scotians ($ million) First-Year Energy Savings (GWh) Total Energy Savings (GWh) Peak Demand Savings (MW)
($ million)
2020 41.9 195.6 140.2 1,967.90 38.7
